What is your website? www.kurthunter.com
What is your MySpace? www.myspace.com/kurthunterband
What genre is your music? Rock, Pop

Who got you interested in playing this kind of music? I have a real appreciation for acoustic guitar, mixed with the electric guitar.

What is music to you? Music is the only thing I want to do in life. There's no back up plan.

What other bands have you been in, why did they end or how are they going? I was the guitarist in a band called Spore in High School. We were the ultimate in weekend grunge party rock.

What are some of your shows comming up? Check the website!

When, Where and How was your first show if you can remember? 1st show? Well, I guess with the current format, it would have been Elliott and Myself playing at a Dedrick's Coffee shop next to Cypress College. They had an open mic there. We used to play every week.

How have you seen yourselves get better since then? Um, yeah, that's about 200% improved since then. Especially on my part, that's for sure.

What makes a show the best? What makes a show great is the interactions between us, and the audience. Those are the best shows. Doesn't even matter how well we play or sing, if we can have a relationship with the audience, it's gonna be a great show.

Who do you one day want to play a show with or open for that you havent allready? I'd like to play a show with Jason Mraz someday soon. Maybe a John Mayer type.

Why do you play music? I play music because I love it! Music brings people together, and where there's people, there's life.

What makes you strive to be heard? I think we have a lot of energy and passion to offer people. We really want to make your day better by giving you something to feel good about.

What inspires most of your lyrics? Well, as corny as this sounds, I'd say love inspires most of it. Not all romantic love either. But love, generally.

What you are saying thru your music? Hopefully we're saying enjoy life, and one another. Have a good time!

How many people in the band right now are the original band members? (explain new members) Well, I suppose the only original members are myself and Elliott. We considered ourselves to be a band just the two of us. The other guys have joined in at different times, and we love having them there!

When was your band formed? At the dawn of time

Where do you wish for your band to be in 5 years?
I wish my band to have a hit song as a tv show theme song, and to be able to retire, and do whatever it is that makes them most happy - all day, everyday.

What do you think its going to take to get there? A lot of pushing, and a lot of rejection. Persistance is my friend.

What is the best thing about being your band? Our band's music does not suck. We know, we've been told.

Where have you been playing lately and how has your response been? We've been playing at the Mai Tai Bar in Long Beach. We get a great response there, even though its' more of a cover band venue. People say they like our originals better than the songs they know. That's always very encouraging.

Do you have any advice to starting bands? Yeah, just get out there, and share the music, but don't forget to listen too.

What is the best thing about music? It brings people together.

What is the worst thing about music? I don't think there's anything bad about it!

What inspires each of you to play? Well, speaking for myself, I really love the sound of the guitar. I play simply to hear the tones and textures.

What other instruments can (each person) play (other than the ones they currently play in the band)? I play the Melodica sometimes. Greg plays the Ukelele, and the kazoo. Elliott can play the trombone, so he says. Um, I'll have to get back to you on the other guys.

Any funny or interesting stories? We are a funny and interesting story, all by ourselves.

What do you think about UFOs? I have to answer this question cause it's so random. I think they're great. there's a lyric in one of our songs, "Elevators Can Be Fun", which talks about a little green man. He's our mascot I think.

Does being involved in playing music make you miss out on anything? You know, if it does, music is worth it. I try to make time for the really important things in life though, like eating, and having a brewsky with friends.

What advantage do you have above other people because you play music? I feel like it gives us the opportunity to meet more people, and communicate with them in a way that eludes most folks.

What were some of your favorite bands growing up? Metallica, G & R, Faith No More, Queen, Black Sabbath, Led Zepplelin.....

Have you lost any fans for doing something drastic? (like moving to a bigger label, changing your sound, ect) Not yet, but I look forward to those days, cause that means that we've made an impression on people.

Every bands music changes over the years, but do you like playing and the style of the old stuff? I like where we've been, but I love where we're going.

Anything you would like to say to your fans reading this interview? Come to our shows!!!! We miss you!

Do you ever get/find groupies? Greg does. He get's all the ladies.

What's your new cd going to be called? Comfort Food

Where can we get it when it comes out? www.kurthunter.com, or at any of our shows.

What do you want people to get out of listening to ""?
Hopefully it will be one of those albums you just love to hear from start to finish. No track skipping required!
