Thursday august 2 at the Leonardos in Fullerton I showed up with Rick Murder, Josh Snider and Myself around 7:40, we met up with Fatty J and put up our Big Smile banner, passed out flyers and was just checking out the venue. By this time Rick was drunk and extremely annoying.

Anxiously around 8:30 we were listening to some random mixes waiting for the first artist to start. So we did an interview with Sophistic around 9:40 Then right after that he went on stage. At this time their were about 60 people there. Sophistic was defiantly not an opener, he should of been headlining, he had some good rhymes, good flow, his DJ was excellent, great transactions between songs.
Make sure you check out his interview, he did a really good one.

Next up was Warlon D, now about 70 or 80 fans here now. Warlon D had an awesome feel to his music, they had a sax player giving their set a whole different feel then the other artists. His DJ had a good flow good beats but I wasn't to impressed with the vocals, they were a little bit mono toned and just not as exciting as I know they could of been. They also had great beats and that sax really added flair to their set. Even though the vocals didn't impress me that music the rest of their set most defiantly impressed me. I would give them a listen again.

The third group was Metamorphs, They had a 3 man front with very energetic with their vocals and their stage presents. By this time their was about 100 people, so their was some good crowed participation and some break dancing. These guys had some good beats as well as good flow in their vocals. These guys are all on time with each other and with the DJ it shows that they practice a lot. Me personally I enjoy watching and listening to hip hop with one artist and just simple beats but I would see these guys again and enjoy it.

All in all it was a good show, the venue is a little different than what I am used to but well earn our keep their as we become more of a part in the hip hop scene. Make sure you go next thursday because well have a booth selling some shirts and hanging out.
