Manchester Orchestra, Piebald, Mewithoutyou...
Manchester Orchestra, Piebald, Mewithoutyou, 6-6-07 at the Glass House

I was really late to this show because I had to watch the Ducks and the Sens play game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals. The Ducks had a commanding 3 to 1 lead in the series and just needed one more win to win the Stanley Cup. Plus they were playing in Anaheim. I am a Kings fan, so I wasn’t quite sure I wanted the Ducks to win. If a California team is to win the Stanley Cup, it should be the Kings. Well, the Kings are terrible and the Ducks are amazing, so I unfortunately knew the dreaded outcome already. Ottawa played terribly and the Ducks dominated. It wasn’t even a good game. The Ducks became the first California team the win the Stanley Cup. The Kings need to get their act together.
Well, I got to the show only to find out that Mewithoutyou’s PR or management company, forgot to put me on the list to get in. Thanks to Erick, a manager at the Glass House, I was able to get my pass. I got inside in time to shoot a few shots of Manchester Orchestra. They were pretty good and I think the crowd enjoyed them. I was sorry I missed The Snake, The Cross, The Crown. I heard they were awesome that night.
Next was Piebald. I had seen these guys once before and had enjoyed them then. It was fun being able to shoot them this time. They play fun rock and are fun to watch. You should all check them out some time.
Mewithoutyou headlined the show. I had only seen them once before and they were absolutely amazing. Tonight was no different. They are an unbelievable band. They pretty much take their favorite poetry and put it to music in such a way that the words almost come alive. It’s beautiful. They are just amazing live. Their new album, Brother Sun, Sister Moon, is probably one of my favorite albums I bought this year. I highly recommend it.
