This is a show review for Fall Out Boy's "SECRET SHOW" at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, Ca on May 4th, 2007.

The first band to play was a pop/rock band from Nevada called The Cab.

About The Cab:

"We Want Top of the Line,
We're From Vegas."

In July of 2005, two students Cash Colligan and Alex Deleon had an idea, more of an escape from their everyday lifestyle. Putting the pen to paper they began to write and were able to come up with a tune. The tune developed into what kids around town now refer to as The Cab. Once the breakup of Las Vegas band Amorous became official, Paul Garcia and Alex Johnson joined the two in order to create new elements in the writing process. The four piece band now consisted of members Deleon, Colligan, Johnson, Garcia. "We've added something to the band now that we feel brings out the best in our music," says DeLeon. "We're anxious for our future writing and recordings." He is talking about the fifth and final member of the band, Alex Marshall. "A Cab, it can take you where you want to go, and that's what we hope to accomplish through our music, our lyrics and the way we present them," says Colligan. Hopefully the world will feel the same.

I was in the music shop previous to the show, talking with the lead singer Alex. He was a really cool dude and he was very down to earth about his band. He just told me about their trip down to Anaheim, Ca from Nevada and how it would all be worth it once the show got started. Once the show did finally start at 7:30 PM, a packed Chain Reaction crowd of mostly teenage girls was ready, pumped, and anxious to see some good pop rock music. The Cab came out powerful with some catchy choruses and melodies that make you want to dance. They were a very fun band to watch and listen to. Personally, I actually enjoyed them. They had lots of energy and they are definately worth checking out. www.myspace.com/thecabrock

Next to come out was "THE SECRET BAND", which just so happened to be FALL OUT BOY! Apparently, it wasn't a well-kept secret, Chain Reaction was packed wall to wall. You could barely walk in there. If you haven't heard of this band, you should definately check out their myspace or their website and go buy their cd. They blew me away. During their first song, the bassist did a front flip into the crowd and it was awesome. They just put out so much energy when they play. I was truely taken back when I saw this band. I had the misconception that since they were huge, all over kroq and MTV, that they would be horrible live. Boy, was I wrong. They know how to get the crowd pumped and the girls to scream at the top of their lungs. They played all of their radio singles first, surprisingly, and I thought that was kind of cool. The rest of their set was as solid and energetic as the first song they played. I have to say they are one of the best live bands I have ever seen, and I have seen many, many, many shows to date. DEFINATELY CHECK OUT FALL OUT BOY IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!!!!! www.myspace.com/falloutboy
