What is your website?
What is your MySpace? www.myspace.com/empiracyband
What is your PureVolume? www.purevolume.com/empiracy
What genre is your music? Hardcore/Metal/Experimental
What are some of the shows you have comming up? We are currently booking Spring and Summer tours. However, we just opened for God Forbid and the Chains of Humanity Tour in Atlanta.
How did you come up with your band name? Kind of a joke/accident, but when we realized what it meant, we all really liked it and believed we could bring meaning to the name.
What venue would you like to play the most that you haven't played at? The CW in Atl(old earthlink live)
What makes you strive to be heard? We aren't the same old stuff every other hardcore band is putting out right now. Everything sounds exactly the same and we look to bring something different and unique to the table.
What inspires most of your lyrics? Honestly, just straight up life. There is good and bad and everyone can relate to something, so we look to have lyrics for anyone.
What brought your band together? The love of music.
Where have you been playing lately and how has your response been? Mainly the Metro-Atlanta and surrounding suburbs area. We are getting a great response from everyone. Even God Forbid loved us...
Do you have any advice to starting bands? Expect nothing from no one. Work for everything you aspire to be and just be yourselves, no one else.

What is the worst thing about music? The thing I like the least is probably the lack of originality. A new band that has a good sound gets popular and suddenly everyone and their mother tries to sound just like them. It ruins the uniqueness of the original band and just makes all the posers seem foolish.
What do you want to see happen thru music in the future? The same kind of thing it does now. Music can influence people in such amazing ways. There are stories of people who don't commit suicide simply because of a band's song. To have that effect on people is amazing, and it needs to continue.
What are you doing to progress those ideas? Trying to get our word out to everyone. No matter what, NO ONE is alone.
What other instruments can you play (other than the ones they currently play in the band)? Guitar, a little piano, mallet percussion, and any drumline percusiion instruments.

What religion are you? Catholic
Does your religion effect your music? Not really, I don't write the lyrics. What I do personally is for God, but I definately don't speak for everyone else. We aren't Christain, if that is what you mean.
Any funny or interesting stories? Um, nothing in particular comes to mind. Our vocalist, Zac, can pretty much entertain anyone randomly at any time...
What do you think about UFOs? They exist...I've seen them, as have several of us.

What do you guys do for work right now, other than playing music? Well, we are all in some sort of school. Adam and Steve are in High School, and the rest of us are in College. Zac works at a Putt-Putt golf place; Joe works at a Chinese Restaurant (he's asian); Adam is a telemarketer (we hate him too); Steve and I are lazy.
What advantage do you have above other people because you play music? We get to live a very unique and interesting life-style. God knows what we'd be up to if it weren't for this...
What were some of your favorite bands growing up? Killswitch Engage, Unearth, Sevendust, BTBAM, The Human Abstract, Disturbed, Goo Goo Dolls, Van Halen, Atreyu, God Forbid, John Mayer, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc.
Every bands music changes over the years, but do you like playing and the style of the old stuff? I'm very thankful we are so far gone from what we used to be. Don't get me wrong, you have to start somewhere, but played some CHEEEEEEZY stuff.
Anything you would like to say to your fans reading this interview? Thank you for listening to us. It isn't always pretty, but we are getting there. We would have NOTHING without you guys, you're the only reason we do this.
Do you ever get/find groupies? ahahahahaha.....good one
What's your latest cd? Of Love, Hatred, and Justice
How did you come up with the title? very carefully...
How long did you wait from start to finish making the CD and how did it feel? (did it take to long, or go by fast) Well it all started on the fateful morning of October 3rd, 1987....no actually it was a great process. We spent about a month and half recording on and off. It was great to be done....a true feeling of accomlishment. What was even better was how no more than 2 weeks after we had finished and started printing them we HATED it...
What do you guys think about it? ....ew
Where can we get it? you don't want it....and we stopped making it.
What do you want people to get out of listening to ""? It's just a start for us, but like I said, we want there to be a difference between us and everyone else. Originality...
What did your fans say about it? Surprisingly, a lot of people liked it.
Any advice for anyone thinking about making a CD? Spend the money...its DEFINATELY worth it.
What do you think of Big Smile? Huggggz and Kisssssses. AWESOME...seriously.
