Dreams Don't Die @ Costa Mesa 8/16/10 (Art Show)
"Dreams Don't Die" Art Show presented by Find Mag, Fatty J & Fearo. Music by: Soul Papa, Back 2 Square One + Photos Costa Mesa 8/14/2010. Written Aug 16, 2010.
The event started around 4:00pm, we got to the blocked off street in Costa Mesa around 5:30 and spray paint cans were shaken and-a sprayen. The event wasn't your typical indoor art show, all though tonight's event did have 3 indoor art gallery's with some beautiful art but the real event was happening outside where people were painting on every wall and building, bands were playing out of a building and from what I could gather was the back of a screen printing shop called Chronic Screen Printing and we had artists brush painting as well as merch booths set up from small local companies. This was a really fun event, lots and lots to look at. With everyone painting the entire street was full of life and color and was consistently changing and morphing into something new. If you've never been to an art show like this than it's something you need to do at least once in your life. Check back to our calendar for upcoming events.
This event was full of art, from hand painting to detailed spray painting along with music talent and performances by Soul Papa and Back 2 Square One both playing some reggae rock for us along with The Process, Where & The Now, Awol One, Fat Merk, Mesidge w/ Indjnous rocken the street. I've seen Soul Papa once before in Huntington Beach and they always put on a good show and keep the party going. www.facebook.com/souPapa During the event I walked around to some of the different booths and had a few drinks of Jarritos, Delicious. Next to Jarritos was Global Noble Deeds ( GND ) a group of people helping out where they can from helping cloth the homeless to teaching people how to grow their own vegetable garden. One of the things I liked GND for is that they are local (Orange County) and what help the city eventually will help me. Very cool guys!
Thanks Fatty J.
