DIRECT HIT!: West Coast Tour w/ Red City Radio + Elway Begins Today

Beginning today, DIRECT HIT! will join Red City Radio and Elway for a three-week tour of the West Coast in support of its newest full-length, Brainless God. The Milwaukee, WI band's sop#re effort was released in September of 2013 on CD and digital formats by Red Scare Industries (The Menzingers, Teenage Bottlerocket, Masked Intruder) and will see a 12" vinyl release from the label in early 2014.
Billed as a punk rock opera about love and the apocalypse, Direct Hit! wrote a short film to accompany Brainless God and has been releasing said film in installments over the past few months. The band recently teamed up with Alternative Press to premiere Chapter VIII of the horror movie, which features the song "Bank Of Elevators."
You can watch Act One (Chapters I - IV) at Noisey and Chapter V can be viewed here here, while Chapters VI and VII debuted at PureVolume.com last month.
Eventually the videos will be compiled on DVD and packaged with the LP version of the record, along with a limited-edition comic book. Details are forthcoming, but you can expect the final installment of the film to premiere in February.

Brainless God is a 12-song horror story brought to you by some not-so-brainless Milwaukee punks. Direct Hit! (henceforth known as The Four Horsemen of Pop Punk) have been tearing up basements and house gigs with their searing live show for a couple years now, and we knew it was time to include them in the Red Scare ranks. Turns out they had an album already written full of frantic hooks and songs that mock The Almighty? Ummm, yes please! Then we enlisted All-American Rejects guitarist and audio maven Mike Kennerty to ensure these 12 apocalyptic episodes were captured properly on tape. This album came out sounding so good you'd almost think Direct Hit! made a pact with Old Scratch himself. Does that mean we have to pay him royalties too?!?
